Bill was one of my role models. He always had a way of making people laugh with one of his many stories and his laugh was infectious. He truly was the consummate salesman and I was blessed to have had the opportunity to work with him and will always remember him as a friend. Danny Clemens

To all of the Houtz family, Julie and I send our love and heartfelt condolences for your loss. My Dad said the same words to me yesterday that are mentioned in Bill's obituary - Bill, and all of the Houtz's are lifelong family friends - and he will be dearly missed. Bill could always make you laugh but had a wonderful serious side to him as well. I will always appreciate his friendship to my parents and the kindness he showed to me, my sisters, Julie and all of us who had the pleasure and honor to know him.
We will be with you in spirit and love this week as you celebrate a life lived well. We will miss you Bill, but have some terrific memories to keep a smile on our faces and a good laugh never far away.
Love, Mike and Julie Hamlin

Bill and my dad, Jim Hamlin, were the best of friends through the years. Bill was a presence and I can hear his infectious laugh to this day. My last memory was a vacation in both of our families' favorite place on earth, Ocracoke Island, NC in 2008. Thank you, Bill, for the amazing memories with my parents! You are in Heaven bringing laughter to Mary, Mom, and all the saints. My prayers are with Miriam, Steve, Cathy, and Andy and all of the family during this time of great loss. Sincerely,Colleen
