We knew John for the last year and one half and were at John and Debbie's wedding this year. Linda and I live across the street and would see them both on a regular basis.
John slept in our home on the night before the wedding and his batchelor party was him and I. I remember the love and devotion he expressed for Debbie and his loss has devastated Debbie who was finally happy to find the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. She said he made her smile all the time and accepted her in the most loving ways.
John had a heart of gold and his loss his is felt in North Carolina and Illinois, too.
I will always wonder what happened to him, but I am sure he is in a good place. I hope that all will comfort Debbie in this most trying time.
