September 26, 1922 - January 14, 2022
Chapel Hill, North Carolina - Kurt Erich Muller Born September 26, 1922 Died January 14, 2022. He was the son of Kurt George Muller and Caroline Horber Muller. He was married to the former Ruth Rawls of Winston Salem, NC on December 29, 1949. Surviving are his wife Ruth and sons Kurt E. Muller (Hilde), Michael Muller (Becky), and Peter Muller (Carol). Deceased is son Frederick Muller (Annette). Grandchildren are Nick Muller and Sean Muller of Florida, Grant and Samantha Muller of Australia, and Chloe Muller of Taos, NM. Also surviving are loving cousins Maggie Sauer, Karen Klein, and Ryann Klein who knew him as papa Kurt. He served in WWII and Korea with the U.S. Marines and retired as a Major. He was a 1948 graduate of the University of North Carolina, and he was associated with Fire Stone Tire & Rubber Co. for 37 years. On retirement he lived in Morehead City, NC and Chapel Hill, NC. He was past president of the NC Master Gardener Assoc., and a strong supporter of UNC sports. Inurnment with full Military Honors will take place at the Quantico National Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the Quantico Museum18900 Jefferson Davis Highway Triangle, VA 22172 or to the location of your choice.
