Lacy S. Castleberry
March 10, 1944 - February 8, 2012

Lacy Stewart Castleberry passed away peacefully at Hospice of Wake County early Wednesday morning.
Lacy was raised in Garner, attended UNC Chapel Hill and graduated from Campbell University. He spent many summers on the Neuse River with friends and family and as a ski instructor at Camp Sea Gull. He lived in Richmond, Virginia for most of his adult life. A passionate Tar Heel, trivia buff, avid reader, and southern food connoisseur, he will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Surviving are his daughter Michelle Castleberry Vigor, son-in-law Andrew Randall Vigor, and grandchildren Porter Elizabeth Kennedy and Andrew Cameron Vigor of Charlotte; his brother, Michael Scott Castleberry of Alexandria, Virginia; nephew Adam Michael Castleberry and niece Regan Castleberry Cain and their families, both of San Francisco; and former wife Diann Moore Castleberry of Richmond. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Hilda and Archie Castleberry of Garner.
A memorial service will be held at Hillyer Memorial Christian Church on Monday, February 13 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hillyer Memorial Christian Church, Camp Sea Gull and Hospice of Wake County.

Michelle, I was so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I didn't know him, just your Mom, but I know he raised a wonder daughter. My condolences, Sherrie Linger - Browinie/Girl Scout leader and friend from your years at Carver. Sara's Mom, too.
