Lee Currin Obituary

Dr. Lee Currin
October 20, 1951 - May 12, 2022
Winston Salem, North Carolina - Dr. Lee Corbitt Currin, 70, of Winston Salem and formerly of Louisburg, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022. He was born on October 20, 1951 in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Nathaniel Lee and Elsie Corbitt Currin.
Dr. Currin is survived by his wife, Cynthia Lou Davenport Currin; his daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly Currin and Emily Paxton and her husband, Ian; and his grandchildren, Jack and Cara Paxton.
Dr. Currin received his undergraduate education at Duke University and his Doctorate of Dentistry from the University of North Carolina. He ran his own dentistry practice in Louisburg from 1978 until 2017 when he sold but continued seeing patients for several years. He and Cindy moved to Winston Salem two years ago to spend more time with and love on their adorable grandchildren. Dr. Currin enjoyed fishing, photography and was an avid Duke Basketball fan. Beyond all else he loved his family, especially his grandkids, that call him "Papa".
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg, NC 27549
