I'm so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Mae was a great and loving person. She got her hair done at my grandmas beauty shop, so she watched me grow up. I will greatly miss her.

Sheila and Sandy--I truly wish I could be with you today as you celebrate the life of the woman you called Mother and I called Aunt Mae. She always seemed to have a smile on her face and love in her heart. Saddened by her passing, I am consoled by knowing she is whole in the Lord and I hope this brings you peace also.

Sheila, I was so saddened to hear of your beloved Mother's passing. She was one of the first women I met when we moved to Raleigh and her warm welcome to the area was such a blessing. I lost touch over the years with you all but I never lost the good memories of her and of you. Martha W. Smith (formerly, Martha Brown)

How does one say good-bye to such a committed friend and saint? For 53 years you enriched my life with your love, the love of Christ, and your unequaled kindness. You will always be Mama Mae to me! Thank you for the gift of your extraordinary, selfless love. How wonderful that you are with our Lord Jesus Christ. I shall look forward to seeing you again! And I shall always be thankful that our families became neighbors, friends, and family in Christ. See you soon!
