With deepest sympathy to Margaret's whole family and close friends. She was a gem. I love the picture you posted of her on this website. It looks like I remember her, although I did not know her until later in her life. That sparkle of kindness and depth of spirit really shines through.
I was honored to have known her.

My daughter, Sara Bell, just talked to me on the phone after having played music at a funeral service at the First Presbyterian Church in Durham. When she told me who the service was for I was floored, shocked, and most deeply saddened, because Margaret was one of my very favorite people with whom I shared time and dancing at Fred Astaire Studio on Garrett Rd. We bonded immediately and always sought each other out when we were at the studio for whatever reason. She was WONderful-- so kind --and at the same time a fun person to be around. I stopped dancing there actively about 8 years ago, and Margaret and I didn't keep in touch. Yet she remained a warm memory in my heart. I then had a few health issues myself which kept me from being out and active. I did not know about Margaret's illness and have not seen her for some time. Had I known, I would have visited her, by hook or by crook!
Anyway, to the family members and friends who may read this, please know that she was much loved by many. She was a gem of a person-- but if you are in her family or a closer friend, you already know that.
I am sorrowful that I will never see her again. Rest in God's arms and enjoy the peace of the next life, dear Margaret.
