Maude Norris Brown, age 84, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Monday at the First Baptist Church of Clayton with the Reverend Dr. Mark White. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
She was a native of Johnston County and the daughter of the late Ernest Hubert Norris and Alma Moore Norris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Brown.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her two children, Donna Brown of Clayton and Robert W. Brown, Jr. of New York, NY; two grandchildren, Tommy Joel Goodwin, Jr. and Ami Gayle Moon; five great grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Goodwin, Olivia Kathleen Bondurant, C.J. Moon, Alex Moon and Roy Wade Goodwin; one sister, Sue Cole; and four brothers, Bobby Dale Norris, Dan Norris, Wendell Guy Norris, and Steve Norris.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
