Meredith Stancil Obituary

Meredith Ailene Coleman Stancil, 32, died Sunday at her home. Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of James H. "Jim" Coleman, Jr. of Dudley and Judy M. Crumpler of Raleigh. She was a 1989 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. A Registered Nurse with Wayne Memorial Hospital, she was a graduate of Wayne Community College School of Nursing. A devoted member of Emmaus Baptist Church and the Young Adult Sunday School Class, she was an active volunteer with "Relay for Life" serving with the Purple Star Survivors.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday at Shumate- Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Mondell officiating. Family members will greet friends immediately following the service.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Chris Stancil; maternal grandmother, Grace McIver of Sanford; paternal grandmother, Margie M. Coleman of Raleigh; brother and sister-in-law, James Richard and Missy Coleman of Timberlake; sister and brother -in-law, Michelle L. and Tom Montgomery of Princeton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Joanne Stancil of Dudley; two nieces; three nephews.
The family requests that memorial gifts be directed in memory of Meredith to "Relay for Life", c/o Dr. Lee Adams, 1318-C Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
