Charlotte, North Carolina - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Michael Talbot, 63, of Charlotte, NC, on February 14th, 2023. Michael passed away, after a battle with heart failure.
Michael was born to Michael and Adrienne on May 19, 1959. He graduated from North Carolina State University, with a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering, later he went on to open his own engineering firm, Talbot & Associates. He was an exceptional engineer, having worked in NYC, he brought innovative sustainable design practices that reduced environmental impact to the Charlotte Area.
Michael was a unforgettable force of energy with a deep appreciation for life, he was free-spirited and young at heart. Michael is survived by his companion, Elizabeth Acosta (daughter Liza); his siblings Andrew, Cheryl, and Will. Michael leaves behind his children Thomas (Kristina), Tyler (Fiorella), and Katelin (Jake); 4 grandchildren, and an abundance of friends. His departure leaves a void in our lives, and we will forever cherish the memories of his free-spirited energy and humor.
To honor Michael's memory, we are holding a celebration of life on February 25th at 3pm at Heist Brewery Barrel of Arts, Charlotte, North Carolina. We invite anyone who knew him to attend and remember his wonderful life.

I just heard about Mike. I have know him since Sigma Pi days at NC State. I completed several design projects with him and occupied the same building with his firm. My heartfelt condolences to his entire expanded family.
