Nancy Borngesser Obituary

Nancy Louise Borngesser

January 1, 1933 - August 12, 2024

Raleigh, North Carolina - Nancy Borngesser died peacefully at home in her sleep at the age of 91 and is survived by her husband Bert. She cherished her three children, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Nancy was born in Lexington, MA. She married her high school sweetheart and would often state that she was lucky to have lived with her favorite person in the whole world for 71 years.

Nancy lived an adventurous life which included flying airplanes, racing sports cars, water and snow skiing, and riding motorcycles. She had many hobbies: piano, tennis, reading, quilting, guitar and choral singing. She was fluent in French after living in France for a year.

Volunteering in her community was a lifelong passion, ranging from Girl Scout leader, school health room, to Meals on Wheels for 35 years. She also worked in the public library and the election polls for many years. Nancy set a wonderful example for her family about how to be a good citizen and treat all people with respect, acceptance and kindness.
