Neal Robertson Obituary
August 30, 1949 - February 02, 2023
Raleigh, North Carolina - Neal Thomas Robertson Sr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, after a long illness. Neal was born on August 30, 1949, and is survived by his wife of 53 years, Laurin, their two children, PJ Nettesheim (Jeremy) and Tom (Lauren), and three grandchildren, Quinn and Jones Nettesheim and Neal Robertson III. He is also survived by his brothers, Mark and Arch Robertson, and best friends, Bob Brooks and Howard Hadley.
Neal was born in Goldsboro and later moved to Raleigh, where he graduated from Broughton High School before attending NC State University. He graduated in 1971 as a third generation Wolfpacker. Neal worked at the University for over 30 years before retiring. He was an avid golfer and lover of all things NC State. He could be found spending fall Saturdays with his Wolfpack family, enjoying games at Carter Finley Stadium.
He continues to be loved by his family, and his memory will live on through his children and grandchildren, whom he took great pride in.
In true Neal fashion, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Neuse River Brewing and Brasserie located at 518 Pershing Road in Raleigh on Monday, February 27, from 3 p.m.-8 p.m.

So sorry to get this news. I haven´t seen Neal in 50 plus years. I grew up in Goldsboro on Mulberry Street around the corner from the Robertsons on Lionel, never a dull moment there. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. RIP Old Buddy !

I am so saddened to hear the news of Neal's passing. Neal was a great friend to me during all my years of working on Method Road. I will see you my friend when my time comes and we will drink some beer together again. RIP!

I worked with Neal for almost 8 years and was lucky to be able to call him boss and friend. I learned a lot about fixing greenhouses, cooking food, hard work, and fellowship (a few new colorful words too) from Neal. He is one of those guys that was larger than life and will definitely make it in my memoir if I ever write one. Rest easy brother.
