Needham William "N.W." Poole

Needham William "N.W." Poole, 82, of 212 Needwell Court, died Saturday, September 03, 2005, at his home, with his family by his side.
N.W.>s home was built on the family farm. He was born July 24, 1923 to the late Bayard T. Poole and Addie Phelps Poole. He started business in 1948 with his brother Jimmie, and named the business Poole Brothers Well Drilling. In 1978, both brothers decided to start their own businesses and continue drilling wells. N.W. retired from N.W. Poole Well Drilling in 1998. He was a kind and generous man with his time, knowledge, and love that he shared with his many friends and family. He was a member of Knightdale Baptist Church.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel. Burial, New Knightdale Baptist Church Cemetery.
Surviving: daughter, Margaret Poole Parrott of Knightdale; son, Calvin Whitley Poole of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Kevin Parrott and his wife, Amanda of Knightdale and Kimberly Parrott of Knightdale; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Kasey, and Kaleb; and brother, B.T. Poole, Jr. of Knightdale.
In addition to his parents, N.W. was preceded in death by his sons, Keith Poole, 1959, Donnie Poole, 1997, brothers, Jack T. Poole, Jimmie Poole, sisters, Magdaline P. Basden, Virginia P. Hodge.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2005 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC, 27545, and other times at the home.
Flowers are accepted, but contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary>s Street, Fourth Floor, Raleigh, NC 27605, or to a charity of your choice.
