Dear Newland, William and families, I have had the priviledge of knowing Kay for 20 years through our relationship at Grady-White. He has always been a wonderful, larger than life bundle of energy with an easy smile, a warm hug and handshake, and an infectious laugh. I will always treasure a CD he gave me featuring Kay and Andy Griffith singing gospel hymns. It's truly beautiful! What a gift Kay was to many people in a myriad of ways. God bless all of you in this difficult time.

Dear Newland and Will,
Your dad will truly be missed. We met him and your mom when we first became Grady-White dealers. He has been such a great friend through the years. Boy, they could dance!

I was saddened to hear that Mr. Crocker passed away. Mr. Crocker was my history teacher a zillion years ago at NHHS. Mr. Crocker was a memorable teacher that made the class alot more interesting! My thoughts and prayers are with the Crocker family.

My deepest sympathy to the Crocker family.
Kay Crocker was without exception the finest teacher I ever had. I graduated from NHHS in 1968. His World History class made an impression on me that has lasted a lifetime. I will never forget him & will always be grateful for the privilege to have been his student. I regret that I never took a minute over the last 40 years to let him know the difference he made in my life. I'll just have to say "THANK YOU Mr. Crocker" when we meet in Heaven.

I was so saddened to hear about Mr. Crocker's passing. I did not know him very long but it did not take long to see that he was a giver. He was highly respected in every way and took great pleasure in seeing the joy and success of others. I will always think of him admiringly.

Newland and Will,
You don't know me but I knew your dad. He was one of the nicest and most sincere individuals that I have ever been exposed to in the Marine industry or anywhere for that matter. I visited him many times over the years in Wilmington and even more recently in Morehead City through Dockside Yacht Club.
It has upset me to hear of his passing and I know the two of you will be OK in time because I am sure Kay Crocker passed along his wonderful attributes to you both.
I will smile when I think of your Dad because he always had time to talk to me no matter what he was involved in. We should all try to be more like Kay Crocker.
God bless you both.

Kay was a wonderful person, so friendly and full of love. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My father was from Teachey and we have land in Teachey next to your mother's land. That is how we know Kay. He will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Newland and William,
My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. It's hard, I know, after having just lost my wife last month. I have found a tremendous amount of comfort remembering the good times we shared and you will too in time. The love from your mother and father will last your life time and will live on in your family forever!
God bless.

We lived across the street from you, on Timber Lane, before Dr. William was born, and watched him grow up the first few years before you moved to Cavilier woods. We remember the fun times we had with Emma Sue and her boys while Kay was at work. Kay and Emma Sue were very proud of their boys, just as they are now. Newland, the next time we're in Wilmington, We'll look you up. Would love to see Dr. William again too, he's probably a little harder to find? God bless you in this time of sorrow.

Newland, Will and families,
Our prayers are with you in this difficult time. Your Dad was a tremendous help in helping organize and support the Whaler group. And we shared many hours of music, too. He made a tremendous contribution to the boating industry in the southeast, and was a friend to thousands of boat owners and potential owners. He was a solid supporter of the coastal business communities in North and South Carolina. You should be proud of the love shared by your Dad and Mom.

Newland and William- even though I never met you, I have heard about you both from Kay. I have a unit in Dockside Condominiums and have served on the Board of Directors with Kay for the past three years. I was with him last Wed in Raleigh in a meeting regarding our situation at Dockside. I have gotten to know Kay very well and felt very close to him. He was one of the nicest human beings I have ever met and needless to say I was in shock Friday when I received the news of Kays passing. I know it must be very difficult for you and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I have to keep telling myself that I know that God has a plan for all of us and it must have been in Gods plan for Kay to come home now. God bless to you both. Tom and Bev Luter

Joyce & I extend to all members of Kays family, our deepest sympathy in your great loss. Although I moved from Wrightsville Beach to Elm City in 1972, I never forgot about Kay & would ask his Brother Dan as to how Kay was getting along. You see, Kay & I go way back to around 1963 when he & I were Teachers at New Hanover High School. We both shared a love of boats, the sea & fishing & I well remember him acquiring what I remember as his first Charter Fishing boat. From that time on, I remember Kay making his career change & was very successful in it, to say the least. Crocker Marine was a very respected business & I'm sure continued to do well under Kay's management. He will be sorely missed, & one of my biggest regrets is that I didn't continue to live in Wrightsville Beach & continue the association & friendship enjoyed by Kay & myself. One more thing I feel compelled to say is I remember so well Kay's beautiful bass voice & am sure it is sounding forth in all its glory in Heaven today. With love, best wishes & deepest sympathy to each & every one of you, David & Joyce Rose

We never heard him sing, but one day I hope to hear
his voice.

Our beloved friend and the best bass
in the choir at Wrightsville United Methodist Church is now singing in the halls of Heaven.
This past Tuesday(October 1) we again shared breakfast with Kay as we have many times in recent years,he was at peace within.
A song has faded on earth, but will
never be hushed in Glory.
To say Kay will be sorely missed is
putting it mildly, there are not words to capture his loss to family and his many friends.
May God's grace and love sustain and comfort you in these trying moments and forever.
Smoke and Prayers.
