Patsy Barger Obituary
She was raised in the Oxford Orphanage and graduated from Oxford High School. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and graduated from N.C. State University with a degree in Biology.
She retired from the N.C. State Lab of Public Health after 30 years of service and was a substitute teacher with the Wake County School System at the time of her death.
Patsy was preceded in death byher parents, Moses James "Jack" Barger and Ethel Parker Barger; three sisters, Margaret Wilson, Jane Bennett and Barbara Cooke; four brothers, Jimmy Barger, Bill Barger, Jack Barger and Donald Barger.
She is survived by two brothers, Franklin "Bucky" Barger of Jacksonville, NC and Cecil Ralph Barger of Burlington.
A visitation will be held Sunday, May 22 from2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at her home.
Arrangements have been made by Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
