Patsy Tointon Obituary
Raleigh
Mrs. Patsy Tointon, 71, died Thursday evening at her home. Mrs. Tointon was born in Durham, the daughter of the late James Howard Caddell and Ethel Gaster Caddell.
Patsy enjoyed traveling and fishing with her husband and family. She was a loving wife and mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Tointon is survived by her husband, Gerald Tointon; daughters, Gena Church (Phil), Mandy Rigsbee (Steve), Lisa Rogers (Chad), Michele Hall (Rob), Kim Linville; sons, Greg Myers (Gayle), Joe Tointon (Ashley); grandchildren, Tyler Rigsbee, Morgan Rigsbee, Stephen Rigsbee (Meredith), Brooke Perry, Chris Perry, Chad Linville, Jane Hall, Drew Hall, Taylor Tointon, Alex Tointon; great grandchildren, Avery Rigsbee, Caleb Duprey, Skyler Perry; sister, Phyllis Goldberg; and brothers, Bobby Caddell and James Caddell.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham at 1105 Broad St. Entombment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at Clements Funeral Home.
Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Rd, Ste 106, Roanoke, VA 24018.

Jerry and family, we were so sorry to hear of your loss, we only learned of it this past Thursday, our thoughts and prayers are with in this time of strife. We are all diminished in some ways with this loss, but we can all gain strength, in knowing she is with our Lord and Savior. God be with you and bless you.

Patsy was a loving wife and mother and just simply loved life. We shared many times good and bad during our friendship. She was loving, caring and supportive. Patsy loved her children more than anything on this earth. Jerry, when she met you she was so happy. You made her life complete. You were the love of her life. I know she is in heaven and will be missed so much here on earth...but we will see her again. I love you my dear friend. Rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Patsy's sudden passing. She was a wonderful mother, stepmother and grandmother. She will be missed.

We have missed seeing the Tointons in our Good Sams group, and have thought of them often. Patsy was the first member of that group to welcome us.
The Lord has lost a good witness here on earth, now that Patsy has gone on to her reward, and we know that she is overjoyed to be in heaven.
Our prayer for her loved ones left here on earth without her is that, when the grief seems to be too great - especially at those moments - they will feel surrounded by the Holy Spirit and feel peace to combat the pain of grief.

The Lord has lost a good witness here on earth, now that Patsy has gone to her reward. I know she is overjoyed to be in heaven. Our prayer for her loved ones left here without her is that whenever the grief seems too much to bear, that - especially in those moments - they will be surrounded by the Holy Spirit, and experience peace to combat the grief.
We have missed the Tointons in our Good Sam camping group.
