Peggy Chrisp Obituary
She departed this life on October 21, 2010 in Raleigh, NC. Peggy was also a devoted and loving sister to Cathy, Terry, Marvin, Lynn, Frances and Theodore.
She was preceded in death by her son Frank Howard Chrisp Jr., her husband Frank Howard Chrisp Sr., father Theodore Hackney Sr. and her mother Barbara Higgs.
She had a strong passion for life and a special love of people. Peggy never met a stranger and was always a people person. Her main passion and focus was reserved for her grandchildren. She was very proud of her grandchildren and was a loving grandmother. Peggy believed in and practiced philanthropy. She considered giving a privilege and an honor. She devoted so much of her life to service, charity and various organizations. Peggy held many awards National Campaign for Tolerance (Wall of Tolerance Recipient), Poet's Award (Famous Poet's Society), Editor's Choice Award Poetry (2005) and was a dedicated member of Ladies Auxilliary VFW Post # 1099. Peggy enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved her church family, Sunday school, her personal pharmacist(Thomas), keeping kids, traveling, reading crossword puzzles, and all the children she had adopted. Many called he "Ma Peggy"because she was such a caring person who would listen and give words of wisdom. She was also an outstanding poet. We love you and miss you so very much Mom. God looked around His garden and he found an empty place. He looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best".
Since you'll never be forgotten we pledge to you today a hallowed place within our heart is where you'll always stay.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Lincoln Park Holiness Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. Wake will be observed on Thursday, October 28, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at C. A Haywood, Sr.

As I sit here and read all the beautiful messages about my mother, my Queen, tears of joy fall down my face and I taste the sweetness of love from each of you. If only I could see her face just to see a tear of joy fall from her eyes to read this. However, the beauty of God is awesome and allows all of us to feel joy and love so I know she's once again smiling and watching over each of us being so proud and yet so outspoken to say, "I love everyone of you!"
Always know, mom you made this world a better place and for that so many of us are better people because of you!

To Peggy's children I know you all probably don't remember me but your use to come by my house whenever she would be down Moncure years ago when you all were very young.I am so sorry to hear of your lost,your was a very sweet and loving lady I know she will missed dearly.To you and the rest of your family you have my deepest sympathy.

To Peggy's children and grandchildren you had the greatest Mother and I had a great friend .We have always stay in contact.But when my my father died of cause I had to spend more time with my Mother. I loved her she was very special, her voice, her talent to talk to people. Her BIGGER than life personally. She help me through the bad times in my life. Our Friends,
You have said the most beautiful words about our mother. You have been so encouraging to us also. We will forever be thankful for each of you. She is not only our angel now but she watches over each of you also. We will miss her everyday however, we know that she lives on in us and our children. Having friends like you are a blessing and also very comforting. Please continue to write in this guest book. Words of encouragement are good for all of Gods children to heal. As many of you know our mom was a poet and we are certain she is with God reading each entry. For those of you that have said, "Thank You for sharing your mom." You are welcome! Just remember we are all Gods children and we must share love. We thank each of you for loving her so much. We know mom has so much love for the whole world it has to be shared and it's so wonderful we just can't keep it to our self. There are so many that don't feel love and now we sit back and watch how God will let her spread even more love over this entire world.

Hey Family!
Be encouraged! Miss Peggy was truly a beautiful woman of God and loved everybody. She accepted me and my family as her own and she will truly be missed. It's sometimes hard to believe that she's not here with us. But I take comfort in knowing that there is no better place to be than in the Arms of the Lord. Hello Family, I am going to miss Ma Peg so very much! She was a blessing to me and my family for a long time.
