I had the pleasure of meeting PA Prentiss Harrison on more than one occasion. My PA program director, Carl Fasser, was responsible for Prentiss relocation to Houston, TX where they worked together clinically for many years. I must admit, as the first male African American Physican Assistant and forefather of AAPA African Heritage Caucus, I knew the importance Prentiss played in our profession, but its not until now that I realized the impact! To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord so soar high my friend and rest in sweet peace.

With sincere condolences to the Harrison family.....

I had the pleasure of being part of the staff of the Duke PA program during its formative years. I had the true honor of knowing Prentiss during his time at Duke. He was one of the trailblazers of such a renowned program.
