R.L. Horton Obituary
Ronald Lee "Jim" Horton, 71, of Louisburg, passed away Tuesday evening.
Jim was a son of the late John Wesley and Maggie Horton. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hilda Glover, brothers, Wesley Horton, Charlie Horton and Hank Horton. He was a member of Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church and a Navy Veteran.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Ransdell Chapel with Rev. Jared Pemper officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Betty P. Horton; daughters, Lisa Johnson and her husband, Timmy of Louisburg, Cyndi Blackwell of Garner; sons, Terry Horton and his wife, Terry of Wake Forest, John Blackwell and his wife, Tammy of Apex; sisters, Ruby Gilbert and her husband, John, Sue Lewis, all of Louisburg; grandchildren, Nikki Horton, Brittany and Trey Blackwell.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary's Street, Suite 400, Raleigh, NC 27605.
The family will receive friends 7:00- 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
