Rachel Gouyer High, 62, of Whispering Pines, NC passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 at her residence.

She was born in Lynchburg, VA to the late Henry and Suzanne Taylor Gouyer.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Larry E. High; sister, Rebekah G. Fisher; step-daughter, Beth H. Langley (Fred) and her granddaughter Abigail Langley, who affectionately called her Nana.

Rachel graduated Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA. She worked as a Commercial Underwriter and Fire Adjuster for State Farm Insurance. Upon retirement she enjoyed her flowers and playing golf with her friends, Linda, Yvonne, Diana, Darrel and June.
