An amazing man, a friend I loved so very much.

Many people come and go during our life. Some remain friends and some become distant memories. Col Rust was more than just my Boss in the NC National Guard. He was a mentor and ultimately my friend. He didn't care if you were the lonely E-1 Private or a General. He treated everyone with respect, courtesy and professionalism. I was truly saddened with the news of our loss. I am forever grateful for the time we had getting to know this fine individual. He was truly a dear friend and he will always be in our hearts and minds. May God Bless you always.
