Ruby Sorrell Obituary
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Robert Capps and Craig Richardson. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson.
Mrs. Sorrell was born September 6, 1918 in Johnston County to the late Walter Ayden and Eva Moore Surles.
Mrs. Sorrell was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilson Freeman and Ed Sorrell.
Mrs. Sorrell was employed with Block Industries, member of the Benson Baptist Church, and Banner Post 109 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include, daughters & sons-in-law, Jean F. and David Lee of Benson, Judy F. and Bruce Byrd of Greensboro, Cathy F. Jackson and Orbie Collins of Benson; sister, Polly S. Stewart of Dunn; grandchildren & spouses, Susan Lee, Dean Byrd, Ann Byrd, David E. Lee Jr., Wilson Lane "Bubba" & Bridgett Godwin, Amy J. & Don Young, David & Britt Jackson; great-grandson, Dylan Jackson: step-children, Jan Ellington and Dee Williams; step-grandchildren, Eddie Clifton, Tracey Waters, Bridget Williams; four step-great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
Flowers are welcome, however memorials may be made to Benson Baptist Church, P.O. Box 323, Benson, NC 27504.
