We celebrate their extraordinary love and life on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Raleigh at 1pm. It was with great sympathy that I learn of the demise of Sofus and Inge Simonsen, two of the kindest and mostly friendly persons I have ever known. Sofus and I were colleagues at NCSU.

I was fortunate to spend six weeks with Sofus in 1985 when we were on the Fulbright Seminar in Japan. His energy and insights inspired us all.
