Steve was born March 22, 1953 in Rusk, TX, but lived in Raleigh, since 1992.
He was preceded in death by Roy Keith Dupree, his brother, and his father, Grady E. Dupree.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Shelley Dupree; their three "furkids", all of Raleigh; his mother, Margie Dupree; his brother, Greg Dupree and wife, Dana; a niece, Stacey, and husband, Philip; a nephew, Josh, and wife, Jessica; two great-nieces; and one stepsister, Carolyn all of McKinney, TX.
