Thomas Honeycutt Obituary

Thomas A. Honeycutt, 86, a resident of Bailey and Raleigh, died Monday night at the Durham VA Hospital. A native of Nash County, he was the son of the late Charles Lewis Honeycutt and Zilphia O'Neal Honeycutt, and was the widower of Elsie Fields Honeycutt.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II, and was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, the Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Service Star, American Theater Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Victory Medal. He was retired from Hasty Utilities Construction Company, and was a member of the North Street Baptist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class in Raleigh. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 26, 2004 at 3 p.m. in the J.M. White Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson by the Rev. Leon Bizzell. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by his sisters, Lola H. Glover, Cora H. Lamm, Iva H. Medlin and Kathleen H. Gay; and his brothers, Coy Honeycutt, Edgar Honeycutt, Joe Honeycutt, and Harold Honeycutt.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:30 - 2:45 p.m. at the J.M. White Funeral Home in Henderson.
Arrangements are by the J.M. White Fuenral Home of Henderson.
