I have admired Tom throughout his career, and valued his friendship immensely. What a great guy and what a stellar contributor to electrical engineering education and life in general!

In memory of Tom, Sr., I just uploaded a photo taken in Sept. of 2013, which Fred Lee referred to as a gathering of three generations of power electonics professors.

I'd always remember every encounter with him ... first in '94 at Emerald Isle, '98 in "Tofu restaurant" in Fukuoka, Japan, many times at CPES conferences. A Grandfather figure who's always warm, kind, humorous and encouraging for younger generation power electronics engineer like myself. He will be deeply missed.
