Tommy Smith Obituary
August 1, 1948 - November 1, 2024
Wake Forest, North Carolina - Tommy Alexander Smith, 76, of Wake Forest, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of November 1, 2024. Born in Albemarle NC to the late Thomas and Margaret Smith, Tommy was a devoted husband and friend whose impact on those around him will be cherished forever.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Jeannette Morrison Smith, as well as a loving extended family and many dear friends.
A funeral service will be held at one o'clock, Friday afternoon, November 8, 2024 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Raleigh Memorial Park, where Tommy will be entombed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Miracle League of the Triangle(www.mltriangle.com), to honor Tommy's love for community and youth sports.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on the evening of November 7, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home, 1051 Durham Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

My deepest prayers go out to the Smith family. He was such a great guy. Always positive and always had a smile. I will miss not seeing him at the PBR and talking baseball. His love for baseball and teaching was his biggest strength. God got a homerun hitter. RIP "T".
