The volunteers of the North Carolina Museum of History wish to express our deepest sympathy to the family. We will always remember Troy because of his terrific smile, his great stories and those wonderful corny jokes he loved to share. He was a great friend to the staff and volunteers of the museum. We are all very sorry for your loss and hope that many wonderful memories will help each of you through this very sad time.

Bill and I were so sorry to hear of the passing of Troy. We have such fond memories of him and the way he
loved people and "took" care of his
flock here of FUMC. He was the first to call at the passing of Bill's dad in the 70's. We shall never forget the passion and care.
Robbie (and family)our thoughts are
with you. May God bless you all.

This world is a much better place because of the way Mr. Barrett lived and loved life. His molding of young teens in the late 60's in Cary made quite a difference in many lives, I know he did in mine. His enthusiasm teaching love and compasion will remain with me the rest of my life.

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Reverend Barrett. He baptized our twin sons, Alex and Charlie, and always presented himself as a man who enjoyed life, especially through his faith in God.

Troy Barrett was one of the finest, most caring ministers to serve the Zebulon United Methodist Church. He touched many lives and left us with uplifting hearts. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and loved him. Bobbie, we will always love you too. May God bless you and your family throughout this difficult time.

Troy Barrett was one of God's chosen spokesman--especially to young people. He made the church's outreach to the youth of his generation an effective witness. May the Lord be with his dear ones

Troy will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him. Especially those of us at FUMC in Cary. It was especially nice to have Troy and Robbie retire in Cary so they could share their many talents with us.
Troy has touched many lives, we will miss this saint who has gone HOME!
Much love and prayers to the family at their time of need.

I am so sorry for your loss. There has never been a finer man than Troy Barrett. He was my very first Methodist minister. He baptized my kids, prayed with me when my marriage broke up and was a good friend throughout the years. No one will ever know how much he has meant to me throughout the years. I wish I had the opportunity to say it to him personally. Surely, he sits at the feet of our Lord today.

My thought and prayers are with the family. I love you all.
