May 5, 1931 - March 30, 2022
Raleigh, North Carolina - Vallen Fred Wright, 90, of Raleigh went to sleep in his bed and woke up in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday morning, March 30, 2022.
He has loved his family all his life.
A funeral service was held at 12 o'clock Saturday afternoon, April 2, 2022 in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Raleigh. Entombment followed in the Mt. Carmel Christian Church cemetery in Franklinton.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mable Nall Wright; 2 children, Debbie Wright and her husband Greg Joyner of Zebulon; Gary Wright of Franklinton; 2 grandsons, Bradley Smith and his wife Morgan, Austin Wright and Lexi Hart; one great granddaughter, Peyton Wright; many friends and his church family, to many to count. His wife's sister and brother were like his own family. He will surely be missed on earth, but Heaven is rejoicing over a great Christian like Vallen. He was a man of love for everyone and loved God with all his heart. His family will miss him and love him forever.
The family wishes to thank everyone for your visits, prayers, food and all the wonderful things you did for him and the family.
