Richard & family,

I was blessed to have counted the Peterson family--and especially Vicki--among my closest friends during my brief time in Greenville. She was a remarkable person who truly lived her faith. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

May light perpetual shine upon her...

I learned that Vicki died yesterday afternoon. Vicki was the first person Ginger Hurley and I met when we moved to Greenville in 1988. Although we did not stay in regular contact, we always, laughingly, told Vicki that that "she was our oldest and dearest friend in Greenville." I will miss knowing that I will no longer run into her occasionally at the grocery store or a social work event. I found her to be an amazing, wonderful woman.

Richard, Erin and Greg, Mike, Chris, and Alex,

I was honored to get to know Vicki when I was a member of the wonderful St. Timothy's family. I also served with her on the Interfaith Refugee Ministry Board of Directors.

Vicki inspired me with her deep care and concern for others, while also focusing upon the positive aspects of life. I wondered how she found the energy to do ALL that she did for others and manage a family of such gifted children. Vicki was a person who not only authentically "talked the talk," but daily "walked the walk."

My children and I, Aubrey Livingston, Tyler and Scott Banks, pray that you will be sustained and surrounded, in the days and months ahead, by an increased awareness of how many lives Vicki touched in so many profound ways while keeping each of you at the center of her heart!

You each shall remain in my prayers.

Warmly,

Natalie Bright Taylor
