Walter Farrell Obituary

Walter Charles "Babe" Farrell, 75, of 620 Deacon Ridge Street, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at his home.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Ethel Violet Elborne Farrell and Hugh Farrell. Mr. Farrell was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Services will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning, January 10, 2009 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home.
Mr. Farrell is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Farrell; children, Linda DeFriest and husband, Gary of Florida, Debra Argila and husband, Jack of Florida, Eileen Mestas and husband, Jerry of Wake Forest, Walter Charles "Chuck" Farrell, Jr. and wife, Cyndee of Florida; sisters, Patricia Kamine of Florida, Eileen Barnes of Florida, Dolores Christian of New York and Gertrude Hassett of New York; brother, Gerald Farrell of Florida; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Farrell was preceded in death by his sister, Lydia Koerick, brothers, William Farrell and Frederick Farrell.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice of Wake County for the support and care they gave.
Memorial Contributions maybe made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary's Street, 4th Floor, Raleigh, NC 27605.
