William Aldridge Obituary

Mr. William Gilbert Aldridge passed away following a brief illness on July 10, 2010 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, NC, with family by his side.
Gilbert was born December 11, 1932 and lived in the Orange Grove Community near Hillsborough, NC, in the house built by his father, James William Aldridge. Gilbert was a comfort to his father and mother, Margaret Felicia Craig Aldridge, during their last years.
Gilbert was also predeceased by his half-brothers and sisters.
Gilbert is survived by a niece, Eula Harris and husband, David of Durham, NC; nephews, John Aldridge and wife, Kathy of Farmville, NC, Randy Aldridge and wife, Clovis of Scotts Hill, NC; and family friend Mrs. E. Terry (Becky) Couch of Durham, NC.
The graveside service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church.

Sincere sympathy on your loss from the entire family of Dave and Susan Cates of Cane Creek. While my grandparents lived, Gilbert was one of our "cousins" and we all have really good memories of him. Cecelia and Catherine (Mabel Cates)
