I met Mr. Granberry on a Wednesday night mid week church services. My pastor Eric Want said to me Tom that'e Mr. Granberry and I replied I know. Eric said it looks like you have known him for thirty years. Eric explained to me he hasn't being back to church since his wife Joyce passed away Two and a half years ago. So I befriended him immediately. Then he went back to North Carolina where he had back surgery. Will I drove up there in the morning of the surgery and he woke uo and said will Tom how did you get here? I replied I drove up this morning. I stayed two days then went on to West Virginia where my relatives lived. Mr. Granberry become a mentor you could say. I was without a church home and a son of a minister for forty five years and adopted at five I found my new awesome friend and also got back in church where I have been a charter member there for ten years. I stayed in touch with him having him over for dinner where he brought my wife Janice flowers. Everyone needs to have a mentor like he was to me.
You will be missed greatly.

I am sorry for your loss.
I knew Bill in what seems like a 100 years ago. When he was President of AMI, I had a lot of opportunities to see Bill while I was working at Raleigh Savings & Loan in the early 1960's. He was always a gentleman and I have a lot of respect for him.
