William Holdsworth Obituary

William Francis Holdsworth, 85, died January 26, 2007 he was born: May 13, 1921, the son of William Roland and Germaine Robert Holdsworth.
William was born in St. Nazaire, France and came to New Jersey in 1923. He grew up in Elizabeth and New Brunswick. He raised his family with his late wife, Shirley C. Covert in Piscataway. He was a founder of the Piscataway Little League, a past Member of the Boy Scouts of America, a past Member and President of the Kilmer Lion's Club, a Member and President of the Piscataway Republican Social Club. He retired as Vice President of Accounting and Taxation after 47 years of employment with the Personal Products Division of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals. He served part time as a Tax Assessor for Piscataway. He had resided in Lake Aerial, PA; Gainsville , FL; and Youngsville, NC.
Survivors include his brother, Ralph Holdsworth of Arlington, VA; his daughter, Sherian B. Epstein of Youngsville, NC; son, William W. Holdsworth of Gainsville, FL; daughter, Renee E. Bennett, Kittrell, NC; son, Brian J. Holdsworth of Stewartsville, NJ; daughter, MaryBeth Herrmann of Morganton, NC. Additionally, he is survived by 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Rose Holdsworth; and many nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews.
He also predeceased by a brother, John Holdsworth, sister, Germaine Holdsworth and one infant grandchild, James Herrmann.
A Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. January 31, 2007 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest, NC with Father John Parish officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Jersey Foundation for The Blind Att. Finance Department 230 Diamond Spring Road, P.O. Box 929 Denville, NJ 07834 or to The Juvenile Diabetes, 183 Wind Chime Drive Raleigh, NC 27615.
