Smithfield
William Ray "Bill" Rose, age 73, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 in the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born September 4, 1942 in Durham County he was a son of the late Person Lee and Goldie Daughtry Rose. He was preceded in death by his brother, Norwood "Buck" Rose.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Daughtry and Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday just prior to the service. A private family burial will be conducted Monday in Yelverton Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Faye Whitley Rose of Smithfield; son, Chris Rose of Smithfield; daughter, Rae Rose Barbour and husband Barry of Four Oaks; brother, Donnie Rose and wife Teresa of Smithfield; sister-in-law, JoAnne Rose of Smithfield; grandchildren, Ashley Rose Mitchell and husband James, Lee Rose, and Kaitlyn Barbour; and great grandchildren, Kaylee Rose and Anna Mitchell.
Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be sent to the SECU Hospice House, P.O. Box 1376, Smithfield, NC 27577.
