Alfred Ottavio Obituary

Ottavio, Alfred J.
Alfred Joseph Ottavio, age 94 of Danbury, passed away on November 30, 2015. Al was born in Danbury on February 8, 1921 to Vincenza (Cecamore) and Emilio Ottavio.
He was raised and educated in Danbury and graduated from Danbury High School in 1937. Al was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Peter's Church for over 50 years. His faith in God carried him throughout his life.
He served his country honorably during WW II in the 767th Bombardment Squadron, providing support in various campaigns, including the Battle of Normandy. When he returned home, Al began his career at the Barden Corporation, and then moved on to Mesinger Manufacturing, where he retired as Vice President of Production Control in 1985.
Al was known for his unwavering devotion to his family; his constant strength and love will be deeply missed. He will be remembered for his kindness, compassion and generosity by all who knew him.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth (Bertozzi) Ottavio, his sons Alfred E. Ottavio, Michael Ottavio and his daughter, Michele Ottavio. He also leaves his granddaughter, Brooke Ottavio and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony Octavio and Juistino (Scotty) Ottavio.
Private services were held.

My sympathy to the Ottavio family--I live across the street from you when you lived on Wixted Avenue. Al and Elizabeth were very good to my Mom when my dad died. You were the best of neighbors and friends and I will keep you all in my prayers.
