Andrew Oravetz Obituary

Oravetz, Andrew F.
Andrew Frank Oravetz passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014. He was born Nov 29th 1977 in Sandy Hook; Ct. He attended schools in Bethel and Litchfield. Andrew moved to Litchfield County where he developed his culinary skills. He had a passion for creating good food and was employed by several fine restaurants in the Litchfield area. While he enjoyed preparing meals for others, Andrew was happiest when he was surrounded by his family. In his youth, he and his big brother Derek would watch "Creature Feature" all day on Saturdays. Andrew loved animals, and in his younger years rescued dozens of small creatures. Whether in his pocket or his hands, somehow they knew they were safe with Andrew. Andrew's appreciation of nature and God's creations developed in him a tender and compassionate spirit, along with a great sense of humor. He will be remembered as a warm, loving and devoted father to his most prized possessions; his little girls.
Andrew will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by the loves of his life; his daughters Isabela Anika; 9 years old, and Ava Rose; 3 years old. He is also survived by his wife of 12 years Margit Quist. Andrew leaves behind his loving mother Dana Rose DiGuiseppi, her husband Stanley DiGuiseppi of Spring Hill Fl., his father Andrew Joseph Oravetz, his wife Sissy, of Litchfield, Ct., his big brother Derek Oravetz, Shana and their daughter Piper Rose Oravetz of Washington State. His sister Brittany DiGuiseppi Schaefer and her husband Jacob and their daughter Zhia Rose Schaefer of Port Richey, Fl. He is also survived by his brothers Stanley DiGuiseppi Jr. of Seymour Ct., Jonathan DiGuiseppi of Wilton Ct., Amy DeMontbel of Milford Ct., Christine Mosato of Ridgefield Ct. and their families. Andrew was loved and will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Saturday, March 15 at 10:30 am at White Memorial Conservation Center, 80 Whitehall Road, Litchfield, Ct. overlooking Ongley Pond where Andrew loved to visit.

our soul" an illness may occur as a "rite of passage" when the soul has completed its work here, and no new lessons are to be learned or contributions made. the soul used the illness as a vehicle to take it back home and return to spirit. If you see all illness and death as a negative thing or as a failure of some kind, you are only heeding the limitations of the conscious personality and not supporting the inner wisdom of the soul's purpose and mission. may your spirit and soul fly free with the wings of angels. andy I will miss you. you will always be in my heart and soul love always your cousin Karen. may all andy's family and friends find peace, forgivness, and love.

Dear Margit,
Your sorrow and pain are my sorrow and pain. You have two beautiful daughters who love you.....wrap your arms around them. Remember to take care of yourself.....many memories will flood you and you know which ones are the most important. Life does go on but in a different way....take your time.....there is still much to do and understand. Prayers, thoughts and love to you. Love and peace always....

Andrew, you were an amazing friend, a child at heart. Always wanting to give the world to everyone and to put a smile on their faces as often as you could. I saw a man devoted to making his family happy. Even through the hard times you thought of others first. We will miss you! Rest in peace my friend! :)
