Monaghan, Brian E.
Brian E. Monaghan, age 45, of New Fairfield, Connecticut, died suddenly on December 6, 2014. He was married to Marilou Thompson Monaghan.
Brian was born in Carmel, New York, and he moved to New Fairfield. He met Marilou Thompson when he was 17; they fell in love and got married in 1993. Together they raised three children in New Fairfield.
Brian worked as a plumber for 30 years and mastered the trade.
Brian is survived by his three children: Sean, Jake, and Erin. His mother: Ann Monaghan of Danbury. His brothers: Jimmy (V) and Michael. His sister: Deirdre and her husband, Peter Fitzpatrick, of Sherman. His nephews and nieces: Trista, Jimmy (VI), Brianna of Ireland, and Molly Jack and Ryan of Sherman.
Brian was a hunter and a fisherman who loved the outdoors. He was always known to appreciate the many friends he had and he was always proud of his heritage and his name.
Our loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, and Friend will always be remembered. And his memory will live on and be called to mind for years to come.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 at 11am at Holy Trinity Church, Sherman, CT with the Rev. Richard Gemza, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
