Eileen Lawlor Obituary
After a long and hard-fought battle with cancer, Eileen Kelly Lawlor went to be with God on June 26th, 2017 in Louisburg, NC at the age of 64.
Eileen was born on April 7th, 1953 in Queens, NY. She grew up in a loving family with her brother and two sisters; Brian, JoAnn, and Melissa.
Eileen was intelligent, a voracious reader, and did crossword puzzles in pen. She obtained her bachelors degree at Western Connecticut State University and went on to complete her Masters in Psychology at The University of New Haven.
Eileen's passions in life were for her Grandson, the beach, the New York Yankees, Days of Our Lives, anything related to her Irish heritage, and of course, all of her family and friends. She remained a brave, ironed willed, Irish warrior up until her very last moment.
Eileen leaves behind her partner in life Paul Lawlor, daughter Kelly and her husband Richard Chappell, son Luke, and her Grandson Cade Liam Michael; as well as her brother and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Barbara and John Marksamer.
A memorial service and reception will be held on July 21st, 2017 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Raleigh, NC at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Eileen requested to be cremated and her ashes will be interred with her parents at Pinelawn Cemetery, Long Island, NY.

My dear Aunt Eileen... I will miss you. Even though I did not see you for many years, I remember. I remember your love, and kindness, and sweet nature. Always so kind to me and everyone. Uncle Paul, Luke and Kelly....my thoughts are with you all. Eileen was so kind even very recently as we reconnected on Facebook, and she commented and praised my art work which was so very nice. My heart breaks. Regardless of all circumstances that led to much separation in our extended family... I loved her. I love you all. ~ Steven
