Eric Langlois Obituary
Eric M. Langlois of New Milford, CT died Tuesday June 18, 2013 in Bridgewater, CT at the age of 33. Mr. Langlois was born Feb. 4, 1980 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada son of Denis Langlois and the late Diane Poulin Langlois. He graduated from Brookfield H.S. and received his BS from Southern Connecticut State University. On Apr. 30, 2004 he married Amber Westlake in Las Vegas, NV. They settled in New Milford, CT five years ago moving from Woodbury, CT. Eric was passionate and creative; enjoying photography, teaching, mountain biking and snow boarding. He was a successful owner and photographer at his own company, Raw Photo Design and an active member of the Hartford Pictage User Group. His passion was his family; he was affectionate, endearing husband, patient, loving father, devoted son and brother and a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Amber of New Milford and his father Denis, he is survived by his son Ryder and daughter Avery, a brother Steve Langlois, a sister in law Stacey Palancia and her husband Tom, mother and father in law Tom and Thelma Westlake, grandparents Therese and Ovide Poulin, nephew and niece Curran and Erin Palancia and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues and fellow photographers. He was also pre deceased by his grandparents Roger and Blanche Langlois. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 24, 2013, 11 am at the Canterbury School, after the Chapel of Our Lady, 101 Aspetuck Ave. in New Milford. Internment will be private. Calling hrs. will be held on Sun. June 23 at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St. in New Milford from 3 to 7 pm. I think about Eric and the Langlois family every day. What a special man he was to so many. I enjoyed getting to know him while helping him hang his work in The Studio. Amber, I was not fortunate enough to know your husband. I lived in New Milford for 30 years. After my husband died I moved. I Understand your grief of losing your lover,friend,and soul mate. I have my husbands picture above where I am typing right now, and although it's been seven years I still cry ocassionally, but I laugh also at all his antics.
