Herman Pecor Obituary
Herman R. Pecor, Jr., 69, of Forest Ave., Danbury died on Tuesday, April 30th at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Louann (Clady) Pecor.
Herman was born in Tarrytown, NY, a son of the late Herman Ralph, Sr. and Ruth A. Cunningham Pecor. He attended school in Tarrytown, New York and had been a Danbury resident for the past 50 years. A longtime painting contractor in the Danbury area, he was most recently with Joyco Painting, retiring in 1998. An avid Yankee and San Francisco 49ers fan, Herman also collected watches and pens. He will be deeply missed by his feline companion, Evil Jackie.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his son Ronald Pecor of Danbury. His daughters: Cheryl Hill and her husband, Roger, of New Milford, Tracey Pecor of New Milford, Sharon Pecor of New Milford and Rita Clady of Danbury. His grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicole, April, Ronald, Jr., Kayla, Jordan, Brittany, Brian, Madison, Miranda, Casey, Jr., Brianna, Cassandra, Steven and Elizabeth. His siblings: Ronald Pecor and his wife, Carol, of Danbury, Elizabeth Cooper and her husband, Michael, of Danbury, Wanda Wilson, Dean Pecor and Mark Pecor, of New York. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents, Herman was predeceased by his siblings: John, William and Buddy.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12pm until 2pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Herman's memory may be made to D.A.W.S.(Danbury Animal Welfare Society), 147 Grassy Plain St., Bethel, CT 06801 or go to www.daws.org . i rember the time i use to climb the apple tree and there were no apples i picked one up grandpa would come over and pull out his pocket knife he would tell me to pick a apple off the ground i used to say there is a worm in it he would carv around the hole in the apple R.I.P.GRANDPA
