Fr. Blonski was born in Danbury, Connecticut, on March 30, 1948, to Walter and Margaret Blonski. He is survived by a brother and family members in the Danbury area.
Father Joe was a priest of the Diocese of Gallup, NM, a Roman Catholic Diocese that serves seven major Native American reservations in both New Mexico and Arizona. Funeral arrangements are being done by Owens Livingston Mortuary in Show Low, AZ.

I went to Fairfield College Prep with Jan, commuting 50 miles a day with other pals. He went on to Syracuse and heard his calling for the priesthood. My wife and I visited him in Arizona and he was obviously happy and thriving in service to God and others. Rest in peace, Padre Jan.

So sorry to hear of Father Blonski who I knew as Blonsk when we were students in the1960´s at St Joseph´s School in Danbury,Ct. He was always a funny, kind, helpful friend who you could always count on to be there for you! Over the past couple of years I connected with him thru e-meals about our days as kids at St. Joseph´s! May he rest in peace and his memory be eternal!
