Joseph Galante Obituary
Joseph T. Galante of New Milford, CT, passed away Monday June 4, 2018 in New Milford at the age of 90.
He was born May 7, 1928 in Poughkeepsie, NY, son of the late Anthony and Grace (Pannozzo) Galante. He graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School in Danbury in 1947. He served in the Army's Field Artillery Branch, during the Allied Occupation of Germany and attained the rank of Master Sergeant. On September 28, 1957 he married Betty Lou Donnelley in Danbury, CT, where they lived until 1963 when they moved to New Milford, CT. He worked in electronics manufacturing as a tool maker for Winchester Electronics until he retired in 1995.
Mr. Galante was predeceased by his wife Betty Lou. He is survived by his son Brian Galante and his wife Manzura of New Milford, CT and his dog Sasha.
Funeral services will be private. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
