Paul Noethe Obituary

Paul William Noethe
Paul William Noethe, 91, of New Fairfield, CT, passed away on June 9, 2024, in Sunrise, Florida.
Paul was born in New York, NY, to Paul and Mary Noethe on June 21, 1932. He went to schools in New York and St. Louis, MO. He married Carol Grasley on September 11, 1993, in New Fairfield, CT.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Carol Noethe, his children, Andrea (George) Schade, Dean Grasley, Carrie (Scott) Walters and Rosalie Ann Tressel (from a previous marriage). He loved his grandchildren, Logan and Sophia Schade, Kayla and Kyle Grasley, his great-grandchildren, Westley and Alice Schade, and his nephew, Anthony Accetturi.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul Noethe, his mother, Mary Costa, his stepfather, Salvatore Costa, his sister, Emily Accetturi, and his brother-in-law, Louis Accetturi.
He worked at various interesting jobs, but his 24 years with the Local 807 Teamsters Union at the North Bergen, NJ Rail Yard was the longest. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army from 1951-1954. He was a Lifetime member of the American Legion. Paul was a great storyteller of his life experiences and could be a practical joker. He was an avid car enthusiast, loved hunting and, for years, was a member of the Cos Cob Revolver & Rifle Club. He was a collector of Hess Trucks and diecast cars.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, at St. Edward the Confessor Parish in New Fairfield. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Paul's favorite charity.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Life Care Center of Inverrary and VITAS Hospice of Sunrise, FL, for their loving care.
