Robert "Bob" Sanborn Obituary
Robert “Bob” George Sanborn, age 84, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quint Henry Sanborn and Marion Elizabeth Gray; sisters, Gloria Moldscheck and Blanche Sanborn; brothers, David Sanborn and Bill Sanborn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Buchanan Sanborn; sons, John (Jean) and Fredrick (Angela); sister, Ruth Sanborn; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Bob was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was a long-time member of Family Worship Center and was a painter by trade. He painted everything from airplanes and barns to Peterbilt truck parts. He loved riding his various motorcycles, working with his hands, and telling a good story.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 11:00-1:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside service with military honors will follow at Cothran Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

To Bob’s Family,
Mr. Bob was a good friend and mentor to me! I worked with him for many years at Quality. Bob taught me how to powder coat (a job that I still do to this day). We shared many great conversations and experiences together! We loved to debate the big issues (politics, religion, etc).
I pray that God will bless you and keep you during this time of loss! I pray that He will bring you peace and strength that only He can deliver!

Ps. I wish I could attend his funeral, but I have a long planned event with my son that I have to attend!
