Robert DeLuryea Obituary
1935-2025
Robert Edward DeLuryea, age 90, lost his battle with Parkinson's Disease Sunday, October 26, 2025. Bob was born March 21, 1935 in Aurora, Illinois to Rutherford and Selma (Kixmiller) DeLuryea. He attended Iowa State University and Harvard Business School and served in the US Air Force for 3 years. He married Lynda Brown on February 2, 1962. His career with IBM spanned over 25 years taking the family to Colorado; Wyoming, Washington, New York, and Paris, France. They lived in Danbury 1973-2010 then Newtown until the present. He is survived by his wife, Lynda (Brown) DeLuryea; children Lynne DeLuryea Covill (Wayne Covill) and Edward DeLuryea (Shari Holzman DeLuryea); grandchildren William and Cae Covill, Brian, Lisa and Nathan DeLuryea. Memorial Celebration service, Monday, 11-3-2025, 1 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 164 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury, CT.
