Robert Nash Obituary

Robert Nash
Robert Audrow Nash, 65, of Washington Depot, CT, passed away on July 6, 2025. Born on November 5, 1959, Robert was an electrical engineer at DRS Technologies in Danbury, where he worked from 1986 to 2024. He had a lifelong passion for astronomy, radios, classic cars, and the natural world.
Robert is survived by his son, Audrow; his daughter, Heather; his granddaughter, Mariella (daughter of Audrow); his sister, Laura; his nieces, Corinna and Alexandra, and their children.
Robert was a talented mechanical designer, who engineered and built custom telescope mounts and an observatory. He spent countless nights capturing stunning images of stars and galaxies. He was always immersed in a project, whether related to astrophotography, home improvements, or one of his beloved vehicles, including his 427 Shelby Cobra replica or military Humvee. He loved animals, especially his standard poodles, and had a deep respect for the wildlife that roamed his land. He found peace in nature and joy in hiking through the woods on his property.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, CT. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com .
