Thomas Fitzhenry Obituary
Thomas F. Fitzhenry, 72, died March 3, 2017, in Tampa, FL. Tommy was a devoted husband, father and dear friend to many. Tommy was a US Army veteran and retired from IBM after a distinguished career of 35 years. Tommy's passions were his Catholic faith, his family, his friends, his Irish heritage, mentoring the younger generation and the NY Yankees. Born and raised in NYC, Tommy and his family resided in Newton, CT for over 30 years before he relocated to Florida in 2015. Tommy was preceded in death by his loving wife Eileen Murray Fitzhenry and lifelong friend Jack Devine. Tommy is survived by his daughter Evelyn K. Vale, three siblings and an extended family of loving friends. To celebrate Tommy's life, a memorial Mass is scheduled on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Newtown, CT. Interment of ashes in St. Rose Cemetery will follow immediately after Mass.
