William Baskay Obituary
William T. Baskay, Sr., passed away on October 7, 2016. He was born in New Jersey, son of the late Thomas and Emily Baskay. He served in the US Air Force from 1960-1964 and went on to work for the Southern New England Telephone Company, where he retired after 30 years. He enjoyed photography, music and driving hot rods, and was the founder and member of the Loose Nutz Car Club for ten years.
He was predeceased by his wife Doris Baskay, who was the love of his life and his soul mate. Bill is survived by his son William T. Baskay, Jr, his daughter Victoria Baskay and his dog My Guy, who was his baby. He was beloved and cherished by his kids, who will miss him dearly. He was a wonderful father, husband and friend. His wit, charm and big heart will also be missed by all that knew and loved him.
In keeping with Bill's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A gathering in his memory will be held on Saturday, October 15th, at the Sycamore Restaurant, in Bethel, starting at 4:00 p.m.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was always very good to me and always remembered me! We would still wave at each other when he was out with his dog. Topstone Drive won't be the same without him!

My wife and I are saddened that our good neighbor Bill has passed away. He always stood at the doorway waiting for his dog to do his business, that's where most of our conversations took place. He will be missed. Our condolences go out to his family and all who shared his passion for hot rods.

May Billys'family find great solice in knowing their father was one of the good guys'.Having worked with Bill through out our time at SNET, I can only remember Bill as being funloving and carefree and one heck of a great guy! With the graces of our Lord grant he and your mom everlasting peace.

so sorry to hear of your lose. Bill was a great guy! He took me for a ride in his "open-air hot rod" and nearly gassed me to death. We always laughed together,and spoke proudly of his kids. I will miss him.

Good Bye Buck. I really always enjoyed your "Norwalk" stories! I remember all the fun times singing oldies in the Manholes while we worked. Don't worry I didn't give up my day job for a singing career yet!
