Anna Marie Rochetto, 101, longtime resident of Spring Valley, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Manor Court of Peru.
Funeral services for Anna Marie will begin at 11:30 AM, Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley, with Rev. Gregory Jarzombek, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation for Anna Marie will be held Thursday morning, at the funeral home, from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services.
She was born on May 10, 1924 in Spring Valley to Lawrence and Mary (Pallai) Taliano. Anna Marie met Domonic J. Rochetto when she was working at Happy's lunchroom and he was a Happy's gas station attendant. They started dating when Dom returned from World War II and they were married on February 9, 1946 at St. Anthony's Church.
She had worked at St. Margaret's Hospital, Sampsel's, and retired from Happy's Gas Station, where she worked in the office. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish.
Anna Marie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, living in the country with lots of time spent outside in the sunshine and making applesauce and pies for her family. She had a candy dish always stocked with spice drops, Hershey's kisses, Werther's, and mints to share. Anna Marie said her parents told her to work hard, get along, don't lie, and to be happy. She tried to live by those rules and instill them in her children.
Anna Marie is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou (Bob) Lukosus of Gilbert, AZ and Mrs. Diane (Rick) Donna of Seatonville; her son, James (Tammy) Rochetto of Ladd; her sister, Delores Dee; seven grandchildren, Jill (Craig) Carraro, Colleen (Kurt) Riske, Andy (Jessica) Lukosus, Stephanie (Adam) Tarmann, Jennifer (Brian) Turner, Jared (Leah) Donna, and Paige (Brandon Redweik) Rochetto; and fifteen great grandchildren, Abigail, Ryan, Beau, Brandon, Luke, Ty, Henry, Emma, Stella, Oliver, Dominic, Vin, Eve, Anna, and Arthur.
The family would like to mention a special "Thank You" to the staff at Hawthorne Inn and Manor Court at Liberty Village for all of their great care and love.

I believe this world has truly special people in it and without a doubt Noni was one of them. She was funny, witty, and full of love that those around her felt. Her positive attitude, grace, and sense of humor is what I loved about her. I will never forget her wearing the big green glasses at our wedding and having a great time. Even at 90 years old she was having fun. The world’s loss was heavens gain. She influenced me and our family in a wonderful way showing us the roadmap to living a long fruitful life.

God Bless her and may she rest in Peace. She was a very sweet lady. I was a B-Part driver and took her to beauty shop on Fridays. We always had a good conversation. My condolences to her family.
